MEMPHIS, TN, August 03, 2026 -- In regards to this manifesto regarding the erasure to Tom Mboya Anthony "Amp" Elmore note that you cannot trust Kenya sources whereas Anthony "Amp" Elmore back up his contention using Time Magazine and American source info.
Click here to see the video regarding above image. In regards to Luo people this image is sacred and have spiritual connotations. Traditionally and culturally, the Luo King (Ker) is both the spiritual and cultural supreme leader of the Luo people.
Anthony "Amp" Elmore call upon the "Luo Ker" to acknowledge the truth about Tom Mboya that has been systematically erased by the Kenya Government.
For the average American one could care less about an African King or affairs in Kenya. Absolutely no one has ever heard of Tom Mboya and he would be of no concern to any American until some hear this phase; "Without an Mboya there never would have been an Obama." American President Barack Obama Jr. Family is from an African tribe in Kenya called "The Luo."
There was a Luo man born August 15, 1930 named Thomas Joseph Odhiambo Mboya who would change the course of American history. Tom Mboya would influence two American elections that of John F. Kennedy in 1960 and that of Barack Obama Jr. in 2008. The Tom Mboya history has not only been erased by the Kenyan Government, the Government punished Barack Obama Sr. the father of U.S. President Barack Obama Jr.
In context and learning about the influence of Tom Mboya; imagine the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. of the African Country of Kenya and his history being erased and marginalized in Kenya.
The single most critical issue facing Kenya's economic future is its deliberate disconnect from Black America's $2.3 trillion buying power. While African Americans spend over $150 billion annually on leisure travel—a market that exceeds Kenya's total annual Gross National Product—Kenya's state tourism boards continue to systematically exclude Black America, marketing the nation almost exclusively as a colonial safari haven for white Western tourists.
This is what one must understand about Kenya its tourism marketing and exclusion of African/American inclusion perpetuate the Tarzan Myth whereas Black America views Africa and Kenya as a Jungle whereas Kenya is viewed by African/Americans as a jungle of primitive people where Black America only see Animals and the Maasai people living in huts.
Kenya's current practice of erasing the historic transatlantic civil rights bond forged by Tom Mboya and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Kenya is actively rejecting billions of dollars in annual trade, travel, and cultural investment that could transform its national economy.

Failing to mention Tom Mboya during a high-profile visit to the King Center in Atlanta is a profound disservice to the historical record, to Dr. King's global legacy, and to both the American and Kenyan people. When a head of state stands at the sacred memorial of the American Civil Rights Movement—a movement that explicitly hosted, funded, and marched with Tom Mboya, including the historic May 13, 1959 "Africa Freedom Dinner" where Dr. King declared their struggles "inescapably linked"—omitting that primary history reduces a monumental transatlantic freedom alliance to mere ceremonial optics.
Practicing selective historical erasure at a site dedicated to truth and justice dishonors the immense sacrifices of both Dr. King and Tom Mboya, denying present generations on both continents the full knowledge of the sovereign, intellectual bridge that truly unites Black America and Kenya.

The titled of this story is; God's Hand in the Black Freedom 250th & Tom Mboya's 70th: August 15, 2026 Celebration at the African Cultural Embassy in Orange Mound. Anthony "Amp" Elmore a Memphis born Five time World Kickboxing Champion and as Independent filmmaker who created "The 1st Kickboxing film in World film history, and a NARA Honored Historian" notes that it had to come from God that on July 24, 2026 Siaya County Governor in Kenya James Orengo Demands Answers from Kenya's President Dr. William Ruto over Tom Mboya's 1969 Death. Imagine a man with the status of Dr. Martin Luther King gets assassinated in Kenya and his history gets erased in Kenya.
In order to get a correct view of Kenyan in regards to Tom Mboya one must rely on the American media that covered Tom Mboya whereas his history in Kenya has been compromised.
Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes click here to view a one paragraph story written in Time Magazine Dated December 5, 1969 titled: Kenya Unanswered questions.
America's Time Magazine asked the same question of that of Kenya's Siaya Governor James Orengo. In 1969 whereas Nahashon Issac Njenge was accused of killing Tom Mboya the Kenyan government secretly hung him without finding what he meant when arrested said: "Why don't you go after the big man." Clearly after the Killing of Tom Mboya the Kenyan Government erased the history of Tom Mboya and the history and culture he established in America.
In light of the "Big Man in Kenya" it was Barack Obama Sr. who is on record noting that it was the administration of Kenya President Jomo Kenyatta that Killed Tom Mboya. The fact of history is Kenya never took any interest in Barack Obama Sr. until Barack Obama Jr. was elected to the U.S. Congress in 2004 and subsequently the U.S. President in 2008.
Many Kenyans complain that President Barack Obama did not do more for Kenya and Kenyans. Unknown and untold President Obama withheld the American Visa of Kenyan leaders unless Kenya made changes. Click here to read the September 25, 2009 story
The tragic story of Kenya's erasure of Tom Mboya is the fact that Kenya severed America's most profound connection to Africa and Africans. The question is asked where African/Americans can find their connection to Africa. Some would suggest that African/Americans can trace their heritage to the first slave ship that came America in 1609. NARA honored Historian Anthony "Amp" Elmore advocate that Kenya is the starting point for finding one's introduction to Africa and Africans.
Anthony "Amp" Elmore explains that we can trace our heritage to Kenya not just because the birth of human life began at the Kenya/Ethiopian border. Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes that African/Americans can find their connection to Africa while unknown and untold to Black America or to Kenyans; "The Birth of Kenya is part of the American Civil Rights movement" and this unknown and untold history gives Black America "A cultural place in Africa" whereas the American Civil rights structure embraced Tom Mboya and his effort to build African nations a part of the Civil rights movement whereas this history was erased in Kenya.
Black America needs a cultural connection to Africa. In plain and simple terms Black Americans need a "Cultural Connection to Africa." Elmore notes let me site an example; the Maasai people in Kenya have a practice of drinking Cow's Milk and its Blood. The very thought of such is repulsive to Americans whereas this is not the culture of modern Kenya, but this is all what we Black Americans see about Africa, whereas it rare to see positive stories about Africa.
In regards to Kenya, this story is "Earth Shaking." Anthony "Amp" Elmore reveal in this manifesto a story that is afraid to be repeated by many Luo or most in Kenya. This story is "Earth Shaking" because Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes that Kenya's 1st President Jomo Kenyatta is not the "Sole Father of Kenya" whereas Elmore reveals that the story of the birth of Kenya has been illicitly framed and its correct birth history has been erased and there is a Tom Mboya cover up in Kenya.
Jomo Kenyatta was only "The Symbolic Father of Kenya," "The Political Figurehead" and "The Hero of the State Myth." Tom Mboya was "The Actual Architect of the birth of Kenya" and "The Intellectual Mastermind." Time Magazine shows this.
Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes that the republic of Kenya implemented the greatest betrayal of Black America than any act in the history of African and African/American relationships. Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes that Kenya erased the African/American and American role in its independence and replaced its history with tribal Historicide. Kenyan historians write that Jomo Kenyatta is the father of Kenya's Independence when clearly he was imprisoned from 1952 to 1961. Jomo Kenyatta had no role in establishing Kenya's bill of rights and Constitution. The true story of Kenya's birth began on August 15, 1956 when Tom Mboya arrived in America.
Most Kenyans do not know what happen on August 15, 1956 whereas Kenyan Tom Mboya arrived in America on his 26th birthday August 15, 1956. Cleary Tom Mboya at the age of 26 would be a Gen Z of today.
In contrast Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929. The 15th day of the month holds deep spiritual significance across major world religions, ancient lunar calendars, and numerology. Because many ancient calendars track the moon, the 15th almost always aligns with the full moon, representing the peak of spiritual energy, illumination, and manifestation.
In mid-1956, twenty-six-year-old Luo trade unionist Tom Mboya arrived in the United States on an itinerary originally planned by the American Committee on Africa (ACOA) for a one-month speaking tour. However, Mboya's extraordinary intellect and oratorical genius—delivering up to six unscripted speeches a day without notes—captivated American audiences, forcing organizers to extend his tour by two weeks. During this six-week sojourn, Mboya systematically laid the groundwork for Kenya's nation-building. Recognizing that the British colonial government had outlawed Black political parties under the Mau Mau State of Emergency, Mboya pivoted to trade unions as the sole legal vehicle for liberation.
Black Union leader A. Philip Randolph took Tom Mboya as a son and convinced the executive leadership of the AFL-CIO to back the Kenya Federation of Labour (KFL). Before departing the U.S. back to Kenya, Tom Mboya secured a formal commitment for a historic $35,000 grant from AFL-CIO labor Union, while simultaneously petitioning American universities to pledge academic scholarships for young East Africans to build the human infrastructure for a future sovereign state of Kenya. Tom Mboya's role was not just about Education his ultimate plans were "nation building." While Jomo Kenyatta was in jail Tom Mboya built the foundation for the independence of Kenya.
Mboya returned to Nairobi in December 1956 as an international figure backed by Western labor power. Leveraging his newfound global stature and organizational clout, he campaigned for one of the eight newly created African seats in Kenya's Legislative Council (LegCo).
On March 10, 1957, Mboya won the Nairobi constituency election, establishing his formal parliamentary foothold. Shortly thereafter, in April 1957, AFL-CIO representative Maida Springer arrived in Nairobi to deliver the institutional support that financed the construction of **Solidarity House** on Dohnolm Road (now Jogoo Road). Equipped with modern printing presses, administrative offices, and assembly halls, Solidarity House became the de facto national command center for Black liberation while political parties remained banned.
Because Mboya was an ethnic Luo operating in an environment heavily dominated by colonial surveillance, his strong backing from the American labor movement and international press created a diplomatic shield: the British colonial government feared arresting or harming him due to the severe political fallout it would provoke in Washington and London.
Later in 1957, Mboya traveled to New York to address the United Nations, exposing the human rights abuses of the British State of Emergency and demanding "One Person, One Vote." By late 1958, his stature had grown to the ultima continental exposure. At just twenty-eight years old, Mboya traveled to Accra, Ghana, for the historic December 1958 All-African Peoples' Conference (AAPC). Because he commanded a fully functional union headquarters, possessed a state-of-the-art printing press, and maintained direct lines to global media and labor capital, he was elected **Chairman of the Conference**, presiding over 300 anti-colonial delegates and famously issuing his ultimatum to European empires: *"Scram from Africa!"*
By 1959, Mboya launched his most ambitious American initiative yet. Returning to the U.S. in April 1959 for a high-profile coast-to-coast fundraising tour—featured on the cover of *Jet Magazine*—he formally launched the **Airlift Africa** project alongside the African American Students Foundation (AASF), co-founded with Bill Scheinman, Jackie Robinson, and Harry Belafonte.

This transatlantic alliance culminated in September 1959, when the first chartered plane carrying eighty-one East African scholars landed in the United States, permanently linking the American Civil Rights Movement to the educational and constitutional foundation of independent Kenya.

In March 1960, appearing on the cover of TIME Magazine was the absolute pinnacle of global visibility—the equivalent of an official world stage declaration—and for the 29-year-old Black East African Tom Mboya labor leader to achieve this was seismic. While Thurgood Marshall had graced the cover earlier in September 1955 following Brown v. Board, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was featured in February 1957 (and later as Man of the Year in 1963), Tom Mboya's March 7, 1960 cover sent shockwaves across the globe because it signified that the British Empire was officially breaking under the weight of Black African leadership.
TIME did not put Mboya on the cover as a civil rights protester pleading for legal reform, but as the rising diplomatic architect who had just gone toe-to-toe with the British Crown in London and successfully declared that Kenya's governance belonged to Black majority rule.
For Black people across Africa and the American Civil Rights Movement, seeing a brilliant, charismatic 29-year-old African man command the cover of Western media's premier publication was an earth-shaking validation: it signaled the irreversible death of European colonialism, the birth of modern African democracy, and the undeniable power of Black global leadership.

To the reader the Time Magazine articles are the "smoking gun" used by Anthony "Amp" Elmore to dismantle the Historicide used by the Kenyan government to erase the history of Tom Mboya as the real father of Kenya.
Mboya's visit to America was the catalyst for everything that Followed. Tom Mboya's August 15, 1956 arrival was the spark. Without the alliance forged with A. Philip Randolph and American labor on via coming to America on his 26th birthday there would have been no $35,000 grant to build Solidarity House.

Kenya's Betrayal to Black America is the fact while Kenya's birth was part of the American Civil Right movement whereas Kenya betrayed and is continuing to betray Black America via its erasure and once solidarity it had with Black America.
The website explains how Tom Mboya's 1956 arrival in the United States and his partnership with American civil rights and labor leaders laid the organizational and political foundation for Kenya's independence.
Click here to view the April 30, 1959 story via Tom Mboya on the Cover of the then Jet Magazine titled: "Africa's New Leader Visits the United States." The sub description reads: Tom Mboya his talks here may strengthen ties between the U.S. and Africa.
This is the point of any Kenyan historian; on April 30, 1959 Kenya was under an emergency order whereas over 11,000 Kikuyu were killed and 35,000 imprison. Over the course of the Emergency (1952–1960), colonial records confirm that over 11,000 Africans were killed in the fighting (with modern estimates running higher), and tens of thousands—including mass roundups of up to 35,000 people in single colonial operations like Operation Anvil in 1954—were detained in British camps.
The State of the Armed Revolt by 1959: Following the capture of Dedan Kimathi in 1956, the guerrilla combat phase of the rebellion was effectively suppressed by British forces. The colonial government kept the State of Emergency in effect through 1959 to maintain strict political control, keeping leaders like Jomo Kenyatta imprisoned in remote detention.
Kenya's Black political parties were banned and traditional leaders detained, Tom Mboya utilized labor organizations and international diplomacy to challenge colonial rule. As General Secretary of the Kenya Federation of Labour, Mboya turned trade unions into a national political platform while other avenues were shut down.
When Tom Mboya launched his U.S. tour in April 1959, Jet Magazine featured him on its cover, explicitly titling him "Africa's New Leader." He filled Carnegie Hall, engaged directly with the international press, and established himself as a prominent figure advocating for African independence.
Following his 1969 assassination, post-independence narratives minimized this period of his leadership, elevating Jomo Kenyatta as the primary figure of national independence and sidelining Mboya's contributions.
Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes that he presents to Kenya a primary historical record produced in real time. It was published by the premier Black news magazine in the world, written by a legendary Black journalist (Hans Massaquoi), and printed while Kenya was still suffocating under British colonial lockdown.
Anthony "Amp" Elmore via the April 30, 1959 Jet Magazine story introduced to Kenya a primary historical evidence that challenges decades of state-sponsored narratives. For decades, political rivals and post-independence state historians tried to diminish Tom Mboya by calling him a "CIA agent" or a "Western puppet." This 1959 Jet Magazine story completely destroys that lie with Tom Mboya own documented words:
Tom Mboya Wasn't asking for Handouts; Tom Mboya Was Demanding Respect. The article explicitly states that Tom Mboya made it clear that he is not seeking handouts, instead regards fund contributions as a sound investment by the West.
Tom Mboya Confronted Western Hypocrisy. Mboya openly warned the West that if they spent their time practicing the democracy they preach, they would have nothing to fear from communism.
Tom Mboya Demanded Immediate Decolonization he didn't play diplomatic games to appease Western powers; he publicly ordered the colonial powers to scram from Africa and demanded independence NOW!
No agent or puppet talks like that to the powers financing his trip. He spoke as a sovereign African leader commanding equal respect on the world stage.
Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes; "You Cannot Edit the Past" A newspaper or magazine article published on April 30, 1959 cannot be altered by a Kenyan government official in 1970, 1990, or 2026. It stands frozen in time as undeniable proof of what the world knew in 1959.
The Black Press documented what the Kenya powers to be suppressed. In 1959, Kenya was under a colonial State of Emergency. The British military had killed over 11,000 Africans, jailed 35,000, and banned Black political parties and printing presses. Africans in Kenya were silenced however it was Tom Mboya who out smarted British with the help of America and Americans.
After World War II, Britain and Western Europe emerged victorious but utterly bankrupt, lacking the financial and military resources required to maintain their vast global empires. To survive economic collapse, the British government became deeply dependent on American financial lifelines, most notably through the Marshall Plan and Anglo-American loans, which effectively shifted the global superpower mantle from London to Washington.
At the same time, the onset of the Cold War introduced a formidable new geopolitical challenger in the form of Soviet-backed communism, which aggressively targeted colonial territories by funding, arming, and offering ideological support to anti-colonial liberation movements. This communist strategy sought to exploit European weakness and dismantle Western colonial systems across Africa and Asia, directly threatening American national security and global interests.
Facing severe domestic economic strain and the urgent geopolitical necessity of containment, bankrupt Britain could no longer sustain its colonial grip, while the United States was compelled to step in and ensure that emerging independent nations transitioned into constitutional, democratic societies rather than falling under Soviet influence.
The January/February 1960 Lancaster House Conference marked the moment Britain officially conceded that Kenya would become an African-led nation. Tom Mboya was invited because he was the chief strategist and driving negotiator who made that constitutional transition happen.
January/February 1960 American civil rights attorney Thurgood Marshall wrote Kenya's Bill of rights and foundation for Kenya's Constitution at Lancaster.
There is a new movement in East African Country of Kenya called The Linda Mwananchi Movement. Anthony "Amp" Elmore's first thought was; who was "Linda Mwananchi" and was she a Presidential candidate?
Mwananchi: (Swahili for "Protect the Citizen") is a new grassroots-driven political and civic coalition in Kenya dedicated to defending constitutional democracy, human rights, and the economic dignity of everyday citizens (Mwananchi). Emerging out of growing public frustration with rising taxes, executive overreach, political corruption, and the erosion of civic freedoms, the initiative unites opposition voices, civil society advocates, and youth movements to hold the governing administration accountable.
Unknown and untold in Kenya, Kenya's original constitutional ideals was established by Tom Mboya and Thurgood Marshall. The Linda Mwananchi movement focuses on voter registration, judicial independence, and mobilizing ordinary citizens to reclaim their sovereign power and protect the democratic checks and balances guaranteed by the constitution. Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes that the Linda Mwananchi Movement is God sent whereas Elmore was prepared to stand along to tell about Kenya's betrayal of both Tom Mboya and Thurgood Marshall.
It was in 1990 that Anthony "Amp" Elmore 1st visited Kenya to premier the movie he wrote, produced, directed and starred titled "The Contemporary Gladiator." Elmore shakes his head noting that it's almost impossible to pull off the production of an Independent 35mm Theatrical film. Unknown and untold in Kenya or acknowledged anywhere; Anthony "Amp" Elmore via his 1988 movie premiering in Kenya in 1990 this arrangement is the "1st Industrial trade deal between an African government and an African American business." The erasure of America's role in the birth of Kenya is part of Kenya's Historicide.

Historicide is part of the DNA in Memphis, Tennessee whereas no Memphis African/American leader will not challenge the misleading 1890 birth date of the African/American historic community of Orange Mound in Memphis is a classic case of Memphis historicide.

Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes; do not take my word for these are the exact words written on the President John F. Kennedy Presidential Library website: "At a key point in the 1960 presidential campaign, a dynamic young leader from Kenya named Tom Mboya visited Senator John F. Kennedy. Mboya led a campaign of his own that would eventually bring hundreds of African students to America for higher education, including Barack Obama Sr., President Obama's father. Kennedy's decision to support the effort became an issue in the election and possibly a factor in his narrow victory.
On July 5, 1969 Tom Mboya was assassinated whereas the Country of Kenya uses its function and authority to erase the history of Tom Mboya. First published in 1982 by David Goldsworthy, the seminal biography "Tom Mboya: The Man Kenya Wanted to Forget" stands as an extensive case study of a brilliant, multi-talented leader whose profound legacy was actively buried in the wake of his tragic 1969 assassination.
Tracing his meteoric rise from a Nairobi sanitation inspector and a powerhouse trade union leader during the Mau Mau Emergency, the book explores how Mboya's vast intelligence, organizational acumen, and global vision propelled him to the absolute summit of pre- and post-independence power. Goldsworthy thoroughly details "Mboyaism"—his specific blueprint for development built on a foundation of political democracy, mutual social responsibility, and a refusal to plunge into corrupt, negative tribalism—proving that he was a radical modernizer decades ahead of his time.
Crucially, the text exposes the devastating institutional silence and socio-political erasure that gripped East Africa after his murder, demonstrating how the ruling political establishment deliberately sought to wipe his global, transformative impact from memory to protect localized, corporate myths. Ultimately, the book serves as an unassailable historical indictment, confirming that while state capitals and ivory-tower gatekeepers aggressively attempted to let Tom Mboya fade into obscurity, his revolutionary blueprint and cross-continental footprints remain completely impossible to destroy.

Anthony "Amp" Elmore notes that Professor Munene Macharia represents the clear-cut culture and practice in Kenya that justifies the erasure of Tom Mboya.

Anthony "Amp" Elmore has a phase: "A movie is more powerful than a myth." Elmore explains: In 1990 Elmore arranged via African history the 1st Industrial Trade Deal between an African Government and an African/American business via our 1988 movie "The Contemporary Gladiator."
The 1990 theatrical release of *The Contemporary Gladiator* i in Kenya operates as the foundational economic engine for an entire Pan-African cultural rebirth. By establishing the "first industrial trade deal between an African national government and an African American business**, as well as breaking world film history as the first kickboxing feature and Black-authored Buddhist biopic, the film provides the unassailable primary precedent required for Kenyan leadership—via the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports—to submit it for global preservation through **UNESCO's Memory of the World Program and the African Union's **African Audiovisual and Cinema Commission (AACC)**, whose secretariat is hosted right in Nairobi alongside the **Pan-African Federation of Filmmakers (FEPACI)**.
Securing this official international honor shatters decades of state historicide and directly launches the production of the definitive **Tom Mboya Feature Film**, written and directed by Anthony "Amp" Elmore. On screen, the film unmasks the myth of Jomo Kenyatta as a sole father figure, exposing how **America, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., President John F. Kennedy, and Black civil rights pioneers co-built Kenya's independence**. This cinematic masterstroke will reignite global interest, channeling Black America's **$2.3 trillion buying power** into massive heritage tourism, while the movie's box office and international momentum directly finance **The Tom Mboya Education, Culture, and Entertainment Center in Nairobi**—creating thousands of modern jobs, elevating Kenyan leadership, and permanently reuniting Africans and African Americans.
