EVDANCE has updated its portable electric vehicle charging hardware to accommodate a wider variety of electrical outlets. By offering multiple plug configurations across 16A, 24A, 32A, and 40A models, the company aims to reduce compatibility issues for drivers moving between residential, commercial, and remote locations.
The updated lineup includes support for common NEMA standards such as 5-15, 14-30, and 14-50. Select high-amperage units now feature dual-compatibility, allowing users to switch between Level 1 and Level 2 charging depending on the available power source.
The chargers are available with either NACS or J1772 connectors. EVDANCE has designed its NACS versions to mirror the form factor and functionality of Tesla-branded equipment, including integrated port-release buttons for a familiar user experience.
The shift toward electric mobility has highlighted a significant gap in charging infrastructure: the lack of a universal plug standard. As EV adoption grows, drivers frequently encounter varying outlet types at rental properties, campsites, and older homes that do not match standard home-charging setups.
Manufacturers are increasingly responding to these real-world limitations by prioritizing multi-adapter hardware. This trend reflects a move away from static, single-use charging equipment in favor of adaptable, portable solutions that allow vehicle owners to manage power delivery based on the specific electrical capacity of their immediate environment.
