Bitget Wallet has introduced a new reward system for its payment card that replaces traditional cash or point-based incentives with investment assets. Users can now earn cashback in the form of Bitcoin, gold, or tokenized shares of major companies.
The program, branded as Assetback, allows cardholders to select their preferred asset class in advance. Every eligible transaction automatically triggers an allocation of the chosen asset, removing the need for manual trading or secondary brokerage accounts.
Available in over 50 countries, the card operates on the Visa and Mastercard networks. The initiative aims to shift the utility of reward programs from immediate consumption to long-term asset accumulation.
The shift reflects a growing demand for financial products that integrate crypto-native assets into daily spending habits. By tokenizing real-world assets like equities and precious metals, platforms are attempting to bridge the divide between traditional wealth management and decentralized finance.
This trend is supported by a significant increase in crypto card adoption, with sector-wide payment volumes reaching hundreds of millions of dollars monthly. As users seek to hedge against inflation, providers are moving away from legacy reward models toward systems that prioritize fractional ownership and asset growth.
