Author and psychologist Dr. Barbara Becker Holstein is offering her historical fiction novel, Women's Freedom, Unfinished Love Stories, as a free ebook on Amazon for two days, September 22 and 23, 2026. The narrative examines the personal and social challenges faced by young women during the 1960s.
In addition to the promotion, Holstein has published two new print books. The King of the Numbers is a children’s title focused on the importance of the number zero, designed to help build self-esteem in young readers.
The second release, a collection of poetry, features works written by the author during her own youth. These projects continue her focus on applying psychological concepts to creative media to address relatable life experiences.
This release reflects a growing trend of professionals utilizing creative storytelling to address psychological well-being and emotional development. By blending academic backgrounds in psychology with accessible formats like children's literature and historical fiction, authors are increasingly reaching non-academic audiences to discuss complex topics such as anxiety, self-esteem, and social history.
The integration of digital platforms, such as social media-based video projects and self-publishing, allows experts to bypass traditional gatekeepers. This enables direct engagement with younger demographics who are seeking tools to navigate modern stress and identity formation.
